Awesome that our governor supports this program!!!!
Brady said it's a lot of work but a lot of fun. Good luck Drew!
My daughter showed pigs and it is very hard work, but the rewards are life long.
My Grandson will be in there showing pigs & sheep too! Something interesting I've noticed - if your pig pen is a lengthy walk (for a pig) to the show ring, some kids have these little wagons they put the pig in to ride over to the ring & keeps the animal from getting hot & tired before it ever gets into the ring. I've noticed sometimes that a pig will walk good 100 times in a row, but when it sets foot in the ring it starts to act like it's never been walked once. So if your pig starts acting up in the ring - don't sweat it. It seems to happen to everyone at some time or another. I also notice that some kids get carried away whopping on the pig with the little whip. That just gets the pig upset. And if you're showing that York, be extra easy with the whip because even a light touch on some Yorks leave a red streak that looks like somebody beat the tar out of them. The Very Very Most Important Thing To Remember - Have Fun!!!!I wish you the best young man!
Run!!! Go back to cattle!!! LOL!! Tell him good luck and have fun!!!
