Another Record Breaking Year

The 2019 Oklahoma Youth Expo set to be the largest ever in history.

With the 2019 Oklahoma Youth Expo mere weeks away, staff is preparing to host the largest show in its existence. A record breaking 24,109 animals were nominated for OYE.

“It’s incredible that every year OYE continues to grow,” said OYE show manager, Kass Newell. “We’ve seen growth in all species, from steers to hogs.”

The show steadily continues to grow and in turn, so does the level of competition. OYE continues to be the world’s largest junior livestock show bringing more than 7,000 exhibitors from all 77 Oklahoma counties to Oklahoma City each year.

A complete breakdown of nominations follows:
935 Market Steers
8,472 Market Barrows
8,121 Gilts
2,289 Market Lambs
1,068 Ewes
1,483 Market Goats
1,741 Does

“Here at the Oklahoma Youth Expo we strive to provide exhibitors and their families with the most competitive and hopefully, one of the most enjoyable shows in the state each year,” Newell said. “Our exhibitors truly make OYE the greatest show and we look forward to seeing everyone in March.”
