The 2nd Annual Exposition for the Youth of Oklahoma breaks recent attendance records and champions competition amongst 4-H and FFA exhibitors.
The 2024 Exposition for the Youth of Oklahoma, held during the Oklahoma State Fair, in Oklahoma City, Okla., boasts the largest junior and open shows in recent history. This livestock show extends Oklahoma 4-H and FFA exhibitors the opportunity to showcase and compete against one another with their beef, sheep, goats and hogs.
“EYO is back for the second year during the Oklahoma State Fair, and we are thrilled to welcome ag youth from across the state to Oklahoma City,” said Kass Newell, Executive Vice President of the Oklahoma Youth Expo. “Each year the show continues to grow and improve, and this year is certainly no exception with record-breaking entries across all species!”
Hundreds of exhibitors from Oklahoma’s 77 counties and the United States have entered to exhibit more than 2,700 head of cattle, sheep, goats and hogs – the largest amount in recent memory. With 955 cattle entries, 658 swine, 551 goats, and 577 sheep, entries totaled 2,741 for EYO shows.
“The EYO team is excited to offer new breeds and events for exhibitors to take part in during the 2024 competition,” Newell said. “It’s always our goal to provide a fun and safe environment that celebrates the hard work so many students pour into their livestock projects, so we are excited to be back and better than ever,” Newell said.
The 2nd Annual Exposition for the Youth of Oklahoma is set to be held September 12 through the 15, 2024 in Oklahoma City in conjunction with the Oklahoma State Fair. For the latest information regarding EYO, visit https://okyouthexpo.com/show-information/eyo/
