Oklahoma Youth Expo Delivers Top Ten Results

Oklahoma Youth Expo praised by Governor Stitt as one of Oklahoma’s greatest successes.

Governor Stitt named the Oklahoma Youth Expo as an elite organization in Oklahoma with the ability to deliver top ten results in his State of the State address.

“Today OYE is not just the number 1 junior livestock show in America, it is the largest in the world.” said Governor Kevin Stitt. “OYE garners young participants from all 77 counties, awards hundreds of thousands of dollars in education scholarships and has shown a $22 million economic impact on Oklahoma City.”

“These are just a few examples of Oklahomans who brought together a team, set measurable goals, reimagined the possibilities, and executed on their vision to deliver Top Ten results,” said Governor Stitt.

As “The World’s Largest Junior Livestock Show” the Oklahoma Youth Expo prides itself in bringing more than 7,000 Oklahoma FFA and 4-H exhibitors from all 77 counties to Oklahoma City to exhibit more than 13,000 head of livestock each year.

“We are honored to be recognized as one of Governor Stitt’s elite organizations here in Oklahoma and it motivates us even more to do great things for our kids,” said Executive Director of the Oklahoma Youth Expo, Tyler Norvell.

“Here at OYE we pride ourselves in providing opportunities for the most talented youth in all of Oklahoma,” Norvell said. “It is important to allow them to hone their leadership skills and prepare for their futures.”

Each year the Oklahoma Youth Expo awards nearly $2 million in scholarships to its exhibitors allowing them to pursue their higher education goals and better prepare the future of Oklahoma.

“We believe, as Governor Stitt does, that the future of our state lies in our youth, and particularly, our ag youth,” Norvell said. “It is our job to provide opportunities for those ag youth to expand and explore their potential and eventually make an impact on Oklahomans and the agricultural industry.”

“The future of the Oklahoma Youth Expo is strong, thanks to our generous sponsors who continue to see the value in investing in talented youth,” Norvell said. “It is extremely encouraging to see Governor Stitt acknowledge the great things happening at OYE.”
