The Oklahoma Youth Expo and the National Swine Registry are excited to announce the inaugural Purebred Hampshire Barrow show in 2022, thanks to a $50,000 endowed gift from NSR and Hampshire enthusiasts and breeders. This is separate from the OYE market Hampshire barrow show.

The show will take place on Monday, March 14, 2022 following the inaugural OYE barrow futurity showback.

The winner of the purebred Hampshire barrow show will receive a cash premium. The champion purebred Hampshire barrow will not automatically qualify for the Sale of Champions, in order to qualify for the Sale of Champions the barrow would need to win through the OYE market Hampshire barrow show.

Any purebred Hampshire barrow shown can also show in the OYE market barrow show. Any purebred Hampshire barrow shown will count as one of the exhibitor’s three market barrows, regardless if they are being shown in the OYE market Hampshire barrow show.

Pedigrees WILL NOT be required for the OYE market Hampshire barrow show.
