OYE Sale of Champions Awards $1.5 Million to Ag Youth

The Oklahoma Youth Expo’s Sale of Champions awarded $1.5 million to Oklahoma 4-H and FFA exhibitors. 211 exhibitors qualified for the Sale of Champions and were rewarded for their hard work and dedication to their livestock projects.

“The Oklahoma Youth Expo is committed to investing in the next generation of leaders,” said President of OYE, Tyler Norvell. “We are proud to reward our exhibitors for their excellence inside the showring.”

At the 2023 Oklahoma Youth Expo, nearly $400,000 were awarded in academic scholarships to graduating seniors to invest in their higher education goals.

“Our exhibitors are the future leaders and future agriculturalists, and we encourage them to pursue some form of higher education, whether it be at a collegiate university or technical training program,” Norvell said. “It is our job to invest in them and their future.”

More than 7,500 exhibitors from all 77 Oklahoma counties competed at the 2023 Oklahoma Youth Expo, exhibiting nearly 15,000 head of cattle, pigs, sheep, goats and agricultural mechanics projects.

The 2024 Oklahoma Youth Expo will be held March 12-24, 2024 in Oklahoma City.
